Contest 2026
SIPRO – Italian Society of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation announces a call for the best research works and the best clinical case.
The selected works will be presented as posters (in a dedicated area) during the 5th International Congress
“PROSTHETIC SUPPORT ON TEETH AND IMPLANTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA: from preparation to finalization”,
to be held in Naples (Stazione Marittima Congress Center), 25–26 September 2026.

Abstract submission
Abstracts must be submitted using the dedicated online form available on the SIPRO website by 31 July 2026.

Rules:
-
Each presenter may submit only one abstract, but may be listed as co-author on other abstracts.

Each abstract may list up to 10 co-authors.
-
Each abstract may include up to 10 affiliations.
If an abstract is accepted, notification will be sent by e-mail to the Presenter one month before the start of the Congress.
Posters to be displayed at the Congress venue must be printed in A0 vertical format (84 cm wide × 120 cm high).
Conditions for submission
By submitting an abstract, all authors declare that:
-
any work involving human or animal subjects complies with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association;

the work has never been published (in print or electronic form) and has never been presented elsewhere;
-
if the abstract is accepted, SIPRO is authorized to publish the abstract in electronic format;
-
they agree to pre-register for the Congress and pay the registration fee.
Failure to complete pre-registration will result in the withdrawal of the abstract; consequently, the presenter will not be allowed to present the work during the SIPRO 2026 International Congress and the abstract will not be published in DOCTOR OS – Tecniche Nuove.
Awards
The best research work selected by the Evaluation Committee (one per category) will receive the SIPRO Award 2026, consisting of free SIPRO membership and free registration for the 2026 Annual Congress.
The best clinical case selected by the Scientific Committee will likewise receive the SIPRO Award 2026, consisting of free SIPRO membership and free registration for the 2026 Annual Congress.
Among the four winning works, two will be selected for the following awards:

Study trip to the University of Rochester

Study trip to New York University
The Evaluation Committee may also assign honourable mentions, which do not entail any prize.
Award ceremony: Saturday, 26 September 2026.
Abstract preparation guidelines
All abstracts must be written in English only.
1. Research
The work submitted must be a basic or laboratory study or a clinical study (clinical trials, innovative operative or surgical techniques) related to biology, clinical practice and prosthodontics in all their aspects.
Please use the dedicated electronic form available on the SIPRO website and include:

a concise title, limited to 15 words or fewer;
-
a list of authors, with the Presenter listed as the first author. For each author, please provide full name and affiliation.
The abstract must be structured as follows:

Purpose of the study – max 500 characters, including spaces
-
Materials and Methods – max 1,000 characters, including spaces
-
Results – max 1,000 characters, including spaces
-
Conclusions – max 500 characters, including spaces
You may include up to 7 figures and/or tables, each accompanied by a caption.
Evaluation criteria: originality of the hypothesis, study design, applied methodology, scientific and clinical relevance.
2. Clinical case
The work submitted must describe a clinical case relevant to prosthodontics, with particular attention to instrumentation, innovation and respect for anatomy, or present a Case Report or Case Series of special prosthodontic interest, in either clinical or surgical contexts.

Premises – max 500 characters, including spaces

Case Presentation – max 1,500 characters, including spaces

Conclusions – max 500 characters, including spaces
Evaluation criteria: quality of case documentation, rationale of the treatment, clinical outcomes.

at least 6 and up to 12 TIF or JPEG images in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi, print size 6 × 9 cm);

short captions for the images;

clinical and radiographic documentation including the dates of the main phases of treatment.
